Welcome Party III
Wednesday the 15th is confirmed as the date. I would suggest about 6:00PM. I will be bringing a bunch of hotdogs, some burgers, and buns, more than enough to share. I will also be bringing cake. Also so that we don't all bring the same things here is a list of things I forsee us needing. Various disposable plates, cups, and cutlery. Foodwise, we will need condiments and toppings for food. Any meat other than burgers and hotdogs that you wish to eat. A few side dishes, drinks, and maybe some ice cream. We will of course also need fuel for the barbeque. Please respond to this post so that we can see who is bringing what and if anything else is needed. Daphne's address can be found in this post: http://mousme.livejournal.com/847797.htmlHazel and Ian, let me know if you would like for someone to come and meet you and help you get there. | | Thursday, July 9th, 2009 | | 5:03 pm |
Welcome part II
Judging from the responses to my previous post, it looks like Wednesday the 15th is the day. And that we will be having a barbeque in Daphne and John's backyard. Just two issues need to be taken care of. First of all, Charles, do you think you'll be able to survive close proximity to Daphne's cat infested appartment? And second, we are waiting on final confirmation of the availability of the guests of honour. | | Tuesday, July 7th, 2009 | | 6:36 pm |
Welcome party.
Since longpig and wererogue are moving to Montreal next week. I figure we Montreal peeps should welcome them. Anyone who's interested please leave a comment with available days next week. As well as suggestions of what we should do. I'm thinking maybe going out to a resturant or something. | | Thursday, April 9th, 2009 | | 4:37 pm |

Fourth Annual Valentine's Day Cookie Giveaway (Favdcg)
It's that time of year again, and continuing the tradition for the fourth year in a row, I will be making cookies for all my female friends. The drill is the same as last year: * if you are a woman * are reading this * would like to receive cookies please leave a comment indicating your desire for cookies, and also send me your mailing address by e-mail. Since I changed computers this year, and my address book is unreliable, and I will need addresses even if you reside in the same place as last year. | | Sunday, October 26th, 2008 | | 5:39 pm |

Last night's House was awesome. I love Cuddy dancing :) On a different note, as story for Steve. I had a customer at work who had a strange accent. She came to me to ask to have something written on a cake. I heard her say that she wanted Happy Birthday Mike. Sounded easy enough. But since people like to have weird spellings of their names, I asked to make sure. She spelled the name for me : M-A-I-K. Ok, I think kind of a weird spelling, but I write it on the cake. When I show her to confirm, she tells me it was spelled wrong. After a bit of conversation, I find out that the name she wants it Mark. She was just pronouncing the letter R to sound like the letter I. She didn't even sound like a foreign language speaker. Afterwards, I also checked with some of my coworkers, and it wasn't just me they had had heard her ask for Mike as well. | | Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 | | 6:02 pm |

Movie idea
As I was walking to work this morning, I was musing on how cool James Marsters is ( I had just watched Torchwood, so it wasn't just a random musing). I thought to myself that he has much the same type of charisma as Bruce Campell, which of course lead to me thinking that having the both of them in the same movie would be awesome. As I then thought of what kind of movie would be suited to star both James Marsters and Bruce Campbell, it hit me. They would be awesome as the Black Spy and the White Spy in a Spy vs Spy movie. This way we could have both of them in a movie, and yet have them trying to outdo each other. This would be massively cool. So there, you have it. Straight from me. The absolute Truth. James Marsters and Bruce Campbell should star in Spy vs Spy. Now how can we get Sam Raimi to direct, and Joss Whedon to write? | | 4:09 pm |
It's looks like it's going to be a good summer for movies. Starting at the end of April, I will have a movie that I want to watch premiering each week. Here's the list for those that are curious: April 25th Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay May 2 Iron Man May 9 Speed Racer May 16 Prince Kaspian May 23 INDIANA JONES!!!!! June 6 Don't mess with the Zohan (Yes, I know it's an Adam Sandler movie. But strangely the preview made it look funny, and not retarded like his usual movies.) Kung Fu Panda June 13 Hulk June 20 Get Smart June 27 Wanted July 4 Hancock July 11 Hellboy II July 18 The Dark KnightLater in the summer is pretty sparse, except for Tropic Thunder, which looks like it's be seriously awesome. |
